About Us

The Active Foot Store is a unique store that features custom fitting of shoe wear for all activities.  Our highly trained staff will evaluate the shape of your foot, your activity needs and any specific foot problem that you have prior to us making suggestions.  Virtually all of our shoes come in multiple widths and in sizes from 4 1/2 to 15.  We take pride in being able to fit any shape foot, whether you have hammertoes, bunions, low arches or high arches.  We also specialize in fitting of therapeutic shoes for diabetics and am approved by Medicare to be a supplier.

Not all orthotics are created equally! For over 20 years Active Feet has been a leader in the manufacture of custom fabricated orthotics. We utilize the most technologically advanced system and state-of-the-art materials to produce the finest orthotics anywhere!


Medical Director: Dr. Jack A. Reingold is a practicing podiatrist, with over 30 years of experience in treating problems of the foot and ankle, both surgically and non surgically. He is an expert in orthotic and brace therapy.

Dr. Reingold is Board Certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. He has also been awarded fellowship status in both the American College of Foot in Ankle Surgeons and American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics, something very few individuals have done in the United States.

Dr. Reingold's philosophy is to care for problems with conservative care. The Active Foot Store has had tremendous success in helping people with all sorts of problems.

Certified Pedorthist: Connie has a B.S. in microbiology and after 20 years of lab work she returned to school to take courses in problems of the foot and the ankle in order to become a certified pedorthist. She has attended many seminars and continues to be a leader in the pedorthist field. Connie is in charge of training all personnel at the store.

Pedorthists: Norma and Pert have over 40 years of shoe fitting experience between them. They also continue to receive training on foot and ankle problems and are in the process of achieving certification. Marina has a certification in Accounting and has 10 years of retail and customer service experience. She is eager to learn and looking forward to receiving her shoe fitting certification.

Operations Manager: Kyrsty has a B.S. in Merchandising and Retail Management and is in charge of running our facility smoothly and meeting the needs of our clients. She is also very involved in selecting and purchasing our inventory. During her time with us she has learned a lot about foot and ankle problems.
